Itinerary:

DAY 01: DHAKA –HANOI – HANOI CITY TOUR 

On arrival in Noi Bai Airport, meet our tour guide and the driver and transfer to the hotel. Remainder of the day is free at leisure. (check-in time: 14.00hrs; early check-in on request)

From 13.30PM: Start the tour at the historic Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Mons & Fris, all afternoons and from Sep 10 until Dec 10 for annual maintenance, some years to be closed earlier, outside visit applied); an imposing monument lavishly built using marble and granite, and where the preserved body of “Uncle Ho” resides. A short walk from the mausoleum is the lotus-like shaped One Pillar Pagoda – resting on a single stone pillar emerging from the water. Inside is a statue of the Goddess of Mercy with its legendary “thousand arms and thousand eyes”. Wind your way afterwards to the Temple of Literature, the first University for the sons of mandarins, for an overview about Hanoi culture and ancient Vietnamese architecture. 

In the afternoon, visit the serene Museum of Ethnology (closed on Mons – visit History Museum instead) is 30-min drive out of town and offers a chance to get to know Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups better. Visit Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple and Dong Xuan Market get on a walking tour through the old quarter to enjoy the bustling local life.

DAY 02:  Hanoi – Ninh Binh (Hoa Lu – Tam Coc)- SIC (B,L)

Have breakfast at hotel. 07h30 – 8h00: Get picked up by our friendly guide then depart for Ninh Binh province
09h15: Have a short break for 15 – 20 minutes to relax
10h30: Visit Hoa Lư ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasty
11h45: Have a buffet lunch in the restaurant with a lot of local foods such as goat meat, fish, chicken, and fried rice …Vegetarian foods are always available in the buffet lunch
13h00: Visit Tam Coc by 1.5-hour bamboo boat.  You will be surprised by the charming beauty here with paddy fields, river, water, cloud, sky, and a stunning cave system during the boat trip. All make a masterpiece that the Vietnamese people called “Ha Long Bay on land”
15h00: Continue the tour for 45 mins - cycling around the village to discover the life of the local people.
16h00: Get on the bus to return to Hanoi
18h00: Get dropped off at Hotel in Hanoi

DAY 03: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Stay on Cruise (B,L,D)

Have breakfast at the hotel. 7.30Am: Embark on a 3 hours’ drive to Halong bay (D-car Limousine/Shuttle bus provided by Cruise) with a quick rest stop en route at a local house, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waters like dragons’ teeth. After lunch, take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay, swim on a quiet beach, or sunbathe on the deck. Later in the afternoon, visit a fishing village living in the bay for generations. At sunset, join a bamboo rowing sampan to discover a water tunnel with coral reefs in a scenic lagoon. Back on board for sunset and later unwind at the restaurant for dinner. 
 
Note: since there are many boats offering tours on Halong bay, the above tour description is for introduction purposes only. actual activity may vary due to suppliers and we will confirm the final itinerary when the specific boat is confirmed.

Please note: the program may be little varied upon the cruise you choose. Only Vietnamese & International food is available on the boat. Depending on the cruise, kayak will be included or not.

DAY 4: Halong – Hanoi; fly to Hochiminh city (B,BR)

Breakfast on Cruise.
Wake up early to catch the dramatic sunrise on the bay and enjoy a Tai Chi demonstration on the sun deck. Relax with a cup of hot coffee before departing to the splendid Sung Sot grotto where stalactites hanging from the high ceiling take on numerous shapes and forms. Enjoy late brunch on board while cruising back to the boat docking station. Arrive at the boat docking station around 11:00 am. Return to Hanoi capital. 
Our driver will wait for you to transfer to Noi Bai airport for the next flight.

Arrive at Tan Son Nhat Airport, meet up your tour guide, and then transfer to the hotel in Hochiminh city center.

DAY 5: Hochiminh city tour – Cu Chi Tunnel SIC (B,L)

7.30 - 7.45 am: Our guide will pick you up at your hotel
8.00 am: the trip starts, you can visit to the Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, which was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. Continue the sightseeing with the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both the Indochina wars.  Break time for lunch at restaurant/Indian restaurant on request.
Afternoon trip to Cu Chi tunnels - a popular spot for both Vietnamese & foreign tourists. The network of over 200km of tunnels became legendary when they played a vital role in the War. In their heyday, the tunnels were functioning underground cities including numerous trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapon factories, field hospitals, command centers & kitchens. Plenty of evidence of the fierce battle that took place here during the 1960s when Cu Chi was a "Free Target Zone". Today, start our trip, visitor can have chance to know how the tunnel was constructed, spend the next hours exploring the tunnels and war remnants, where you'll learn more about the conditions the people lived in, the hardships they faced, and the amazing ingenuity employed to maintain life in the tunnels, sample some of the simple cuisine that local fighters would have survived on, and have an opportunity to venture into the tunnels and explore the complex.
Back to the hotel. Your leisure in Hochiminh city. 

DAY 6: Hochiminh city – Mekong Delta (Ben Tre-My Tho) SIC (B,L)

8.00A.M: Pick up at your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and start the trip to My Tho - the town located on the left side of the Mekong River. On arrival at My Tho, after visiting Vinh Trang pagoda. Boarding the sampan and cruising around four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking in the village paths to contemplate orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, and Vietnamese folk music performed by the local people. Visit the fruit plantation. 
Be rowed in a small sampan through the Thoi Son canal and treat yourself to the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business & bee-keeping farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop. 
Have lunch at the local restaurant/Indian Pack Lunch to take away. Break time. 
The afternoon is time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meeting the local people to experience their daily life in the Mekong delta. Relaxing on hammocks to enjoy the cool breeze is for those do not want to join the cycling trip. Return to Ho Chi Minh city, back to your hotel.

DAY 7: Hochiminh city – departure (B)

Our driver will wait for you to transfer to Tan Son Nhat airport for the next flight.
